Ishii Chemical Laboratories was established and has become the first producer of Xanthene Colors (Erythrosine, Phloxine,and Eosine). |

Yamato Shokai CO., LTD. began operations, specializing in coloring agents for foods, soaps and cosmetics. |

1941 |
Ishii Chemical Laboratories was absorbed by Hodogaya Chemical CO., LTD. in accordance with the regulations concerning reorganization of industrial sectors. |

1953 |
KISHI KASEI CO., Ltd. was established, and "Nami-Zirushi" Brand given to the products by Ishii Chemical Laboratories was succeeded by KISHI KASEI. Its Head Office was located in Itabashi-ku, Tokyo.

The production process for Green No.3 as the food color was developed as the first one of its kind in Japan.
